Procurement Supervisor

Job brief

 

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Supervisor to be Responsible for the administration, direction, documentation, and issuance of all Purchase orders to suppliers.


Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the purchasing of all local goods and services for the company
  • Perform Market intelligence and assess the market for new cost reduction initiatives and for new suppliers for better rates and/or better services
  • Supervise requests for quotations to suppliers to obtain the necessary information and obtain competitive price
  • Manage the different purchasing activities (purchase order, request for quotation, request for inquiry and request for proposal)
  • Receive the different purchase request and prepare the appropriate purchase order
  • Coordinate with Warehousing and determine if inventory quantities are sufficient for needs, ordering more materials when necessary
  • Prepare daily inventory reports
  • Work with the requesting departments to help them in their purchasing needs
  • Handle petty cash purchases
  • Perform market intelligence and assess the market for new cost reduction initiatives and for new suppliers for better rates and/or better services
  • Supervise requests for quotations to suppliers to obtain the necessary information and obtain competitive price
  • Track the status of requisitions, contracts, and orders
  • Assist in the evaluation of new suppliers
  • Follow-up with suppliers and monitor supplier performance
  • Contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other problems
  • Coordinate with Finance for invoices and payment methods
  • Prepare, maintain, and review purchasing files, reports and price lists
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the manager


Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration or any related major
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years preferred in the Manufacturing Field
  • Languages: Fluency in English
