Mechanical Engineer

Job brief

We’re looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer who will be responsible for ensuring mechanical elements in the workplace in order to run smoothly and efficiently. The engineer will have the duty to evaluate machines’ condition and components to test the efficiency along with the responsibility for suggesting the improvements for better performance. The Engineer will work on all product stages from research and development to design and manufacture, through to installation and final commissioning.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a full lifecycle product development (design, develop, test prototypes, manufacture and implement)
• Create detailed drawings and specifications
• Conduct site visits and inspections
• Perform calculations and analysis
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or discrepancies
• Design systems and components that meet needs and requirements 
• Produce outline designs
• Identify, formulate, and produce effective solutions to emerging problems
• Sourcing out vendors and finalize technical details in accordance with business needs
• Initiate and manage moderate project BOMs
• Background in material selection, welding, testing, and quality control is a plus
• Achieve working relationships with multidisciplinary teams including electrical engineers, production, and quality
• Prepare product reports and documentation
• Effective communication skills and the ability to lead projects
• Providing timely practical support to site engineering teams for resolving the issues and clarifications
• Test and evaluate theoretical designs
• Evaluate final product’s overall performance, reliability, and safety
• Alter and modify design to meet requirements and to eliminate malfunctions
• Solicit observations from operators
• Engage in lifelong learning and develop new methods

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience: +5 years of experience in the field
• Certificate: Certification in CAD, PMP, Six Sigma is a plus
• Languages: Fluency in English 

Skills:

•       Practical experience in CAD software
•       Knowledge of engineering and construction
•       The ability to work well with people from all backgrounds
•       Solid understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science etc.
•       Creativity and analytical skills
•       Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner    
•       Technical writing skills
