Buyer

Job brief


We are looking for a Buyer to oversee the entire order process. You will review proposals, negotiate prices, select the best suppliers, analyze trends, follow up with placed orders, verify delivery, approved payment, and maintain necessary records. 


Responsibilities:

  • Manage the different purchasing activities (purchase order, request for quotation, request for inquiry and request for proposal)
  • Receive the different purchase request and prepare the appropriate purchase order
  • Coordinate with Warehousing and determine if inventory quantities are sufficient for needs, make order for more materials, when necessary, Prepare daily inventory reports
  • Work with the requested departments to help them with their purchasing needs
  • Perform Market intelligence and assess the market for new cost reduction initiatives and for new suppliers for better rates and/or better services
  • Supervise requests for quotations (RFQ’s) to suppliers to obtain the necessary information and obtain competitive price
  • Track the status of requisitions, contracts, and orders
  • Ensure periodical record update on ERP
  • Any additional duties assigned by the procurement manager/ supervisor


Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration or any related major
  • Experience: Entry level (0-3) years
  • Languages: Professional in English
